• Jihlava Zoo was founded in 1957 by Oldřich Vávra and Jindřich Weiss – a culture inspector and the head stagehand of the local theatre.
• Its 9 hectares hold some 260 animal species, among them the babirusa, kept by no other zoo in Czechia.
• The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
• Allow roughly three hours; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.
