Category: exhibition on genocides
A permanent multimedia exhibition in eight rooms of the Wieser House in Terezín maps the key genocides of the 20th century – the Herero and Nama, the Armenians, the Holocaust, the Ukrainian famine, Cambodia, Rwanda and Bosnia – linked to the story of lawyer Rafael Lemkin, who coined the term genocide. It combines historical narrative with audiovisual and artistic installations (photographs by Antonín Kratochvíl, installations by Michal Pěchouček). The operator is an independent entity separate from the Terezín Memorial; the exhibition is designed for educating the younger generation.
