The National Technical Museum depository in Chomutov preserves nearly 100 historical rail vehicles from 1870–1980 in an original railway depot – steam locomotives, electric and diesel locomotives, saloon cars, draisines and a cable car cabin from Ještěd. Among the most notable exhibits are the record-breaking locomotive Albatros 498.106 (speed record of 162 km/h set in 1964) and the saloon car of Archduke Franz Ferdinand d'Este from 1909.
