Tovačov Château is a monumental Gothic structure in the Přerov district, dominated by its 96-metre tower known as Spanilá ("the Fair") – one of the tallest castle towers in the Czech Republic. The original Gothic fortress dates to the 13th century, with the first written record from 1321. Tours take in the château tower with panoramic views, the left wing with its ceremonial hall, the château chapel, the knights' hall and the diet hall, and permanent exhibitions. The château stands beside Tovačov Lake, a popular natural destination.
