One of the most significant Rococo châteaux in Bohemia, surrounded by an Italian terraced garden. Part of the Žatec hop-growing landscape inscribed on the UNESCO list (2023). Guided tours cover the representative rooms of the family of the last private owner, Swiss consul Déteindre, the as-yet unrestored south wing, and the château garden. Educational programmes for primary schools are available.

The Baroque chateau was built on the site of older buildings for the Žatec burgher Jan Jiří Kulhánek; its Rococo look came only under his grandson in the later eighteenth century.
Restorers uncovered frescoes in the main hall showing an ancient temple and the four elements, painted by Kryštof Seckel, who also made vedute for the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle.
