The renovated Vodní světy pavilion at Safari Park Dvůr Králové showcases African freshwater ecosystems in three large tanks of approximately 30,000 litres each. Visitors will see endemic cichlids from Lake Malawi, rare dwarf crocodiles, some of the smallest African dwarf crocodiles, and Nile tilapia. The pavilion adjoins the Poisonous Africa exhibit featuring black mambas, Nile monitors, and other venomous snakes — all part of a full-day trip to the largest African zoo in Europe.
Why visit this place?
The pavilion opened back in 1964 as a terrarium display and was extended in 2014 by the Venomous Africa exhibit.
Today it is a system of linked terrariums, aquariums and indoor crocodile enclosures holding some 28 animal species.
The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
Allow roughly four hours; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.

Safari Park offers extensive school programmes and zoo-educator lectures for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. Children have the opportunity for direct contact with selected animals and guided commentary at the exhibits.
