The Seč water reservoir on the Chrudimka River was built between 1924 and 1935 and is one of the oldest and most technically unique dams in the Czech Republic. It includes a peak-load hydroelectric power plant with a Francis turbine rated at 3.04 MW. Povodí Labe organises open days when visitors can explore the interior of the dam and turbine hall. The reservoir serves flood protection, electricity generation, and recreation.
