The regional museum in Slaný documents the history, archaeology and nature of the Slaný area. It is housed in the Baroque building of the former Piarist college dating from 1658, remodelled in Neo-Renaissance style in 1877–78, and offers exhibitions as well as programmes for schools. On the first floor there is an interactive exhibition called The Kingdom of Salt.
