Vlastivědné muzeum Kyjov is housed in a Renaissance château that, together with the town hall, ranks among the oldest buildings in the city. The museum offers archaeological exhibitions focused on the settlement of the Kyjov region from the early Stone Age to Slavic settlement, ethnographic exhibitions on the Moravian Slovak village, and an exhibition dedicated to the Germanic Lombard tribe. Guided tours and specialised educational programmes are available for schools.
