UFFO is a modern cultural and community centre in Trutnov offering a wide range of theatre performances, concerts and cultural events. For children and schools it organises fairy-tale shows (Sunday fairy tales from age 3), CZirkidz circus workshops and family UFFO Kousky events. Kino Vesmír cinema is part of the complex. The centre is suitable for group school visits and cultural trips.

Why visit this place?

• The centre is named after the Trutnov native Uffo Horn, a 19th-century figure of culture and politics; it opened at the end of 2010.
• The square in front is decorated by Smečka, a set of seven bronze sculptures by Michal Gabriel; the building won Stavba roku 2011.
• Besides the tour there are hands-on workshops, so children get to make something themselves.
• Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.
