Třinecké železárny is a major Czech producer of long rolled steel products. Founded in 1839, the plant has long been one of the largest industrial companies in the north-east of Czech Silesia, producing rails, wire rod, steel bars and seamless tubes. During open days, guides take registered visitors around the steelworks operations – the blast furnace, the wire rolling mill and the bright bar finishing shop have all been on view.
