The Stefany gem-cutting and goldsmith workshop in Bzí near Železný Brod has been family-run since 1925. An hour-long guided tour leads through both the goldsmith and gem-cutting workshops and showcases a collection of Czech agates from the Kozákov vein, moldavites and crystal druses. Children aged 6 and up can try cutting and polishing agate on an adapted polishing machine and take home a Little Gem-Cutter's Certificate. The workshop also runs workshops for individuals, couples and families with children.

The family tradition here goes back to 1925, when the owner's grandparents exported glass beads through the Jablonec trading houses worldwide.
It was the father of today's owner Štěpánka Kurfiřtová who moved from glass jewellery to natural stones; she joined him in the workshop in 1992.
