The family-run Jaroslav Svoboda glassworks in Karlov near Žďár nad Sázavou has been in operation since 1990. On the guided tour you walk through a working glass studio, see the masters at the furnaces as well as the cutters, and the guide takes you through the entire process from molten glass to cutting; the tour lasts about 30 minutes. Around 90 % of the products made here are shaped by hand, without moulds. The complex also includes the Glass Galerie in the original large hall and creative workshops where children can try painting on glass.
