The Kouty nad Desnou ski resort is one of the largest and most modern resorts in the Jeseníky Mountains. The first six-seater chairlift with a loading carpet in the Czech Republic was built here. The lower station is at 588 m above sea level, with slopes rising to the top of the Medvědí slope at 1095 m. The total length of the slopes is over 11 km with 100% snowmaking. The resort lies within the cadastral area of the municipality of Loučná nad Desnou.
