Skautský institut offers programmes for school classes in the centre of Prague. This public space with a café is located in the block of town-hall buildings between Malé náměstí and náměstí Franze Kafky and hosts dozens of lectures, debates and cultural events free of charge to the public. For schools, the institute prepares workshops focused on class-group cooperation, resilience, climate change and landscape stewardship (Act4Future, SI KPZ, SI třída, Mikroadaptace, Patronáty), as well as a three-day programme called School Trip as an Expedition. The institute also includes the Scout Archive and an e-library documenting the history of scouting.

Why visit this place?

• Besides the tour there are hands-on workshops, so children get to make something themselves.
• Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.
• There are 228 more tips within 25 km, enough to build a full-day trip.
• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
