Sloup Rock Castle is one of the most remarkable rock fortresses in Central Europe, carved directly into a sandstone pillar approximately 30 metres high. The castle dates from the 13th century and was later rebuilt by hermits during the Baroque period. A visit requires physical fitness — the tour includes steep rock-hewn staircases. An exceptional destination for school trips focusing on medieval architecture and natural rock formations.
