Rybářství Třeboň a.s. is the largest fishing enterprise in the Czech Republic, managing over 7,000 hectares of ponds in the Třeboň region. Every autumn it organizes the ceremonial harvest of Rožmberk pond – the largest pond in Bohemia (489 ha). Excursions allow students to glimpse the traditional Třeboň pond-fishing culture, watch fishermen at work during the harvest, and learn about the history and ecology of the Třeboň pond system inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
