Rozhledna Velký Blaník – Louňovice pod Blaníkem

Location: Louňovice pod Blaníkem, 257 06 Louňovice pod Blaníkem · Central Bohemia

Category: wooden observation tower

A wooden, shingle-roofed tower nearly 30 metres tall, shaped like a Hussite watchtower and built in 1941 atop the legendary Velký Blaník hill (634 m a.s.l.). The enclosed viewing room at 24 m offers a panoramic view of Vlašim, the Šumava mountains, Brdy hills, and on clear days distant peaks. The tower is closely tied to Hussite history and the national legend of the Knights of Blaník — well suited for history lessons.
