A wooden observation tower by the Soumarské rašeliniště nature trail in the Šumava region. It was built in 2011 and opened to the public in May 2012; it is just under 5 km from Volary. Views of the Šumava peat bogs and forests. Part of a nature trail in the Šumava National Park.

Why visit this place?

• The nature trail is one and a half kilometres long and is open only from June to October to protect the endangered black grouse.
• The trail crosses ground where peat was industrially extracted until 2000, and 31 steps lead up to the tower's viewing platform.
