The oldest iron (cast-iron) lookout tower in Bohemia, dating from 1887, stands on the summit of Slovanka (820 m) on the Maxov ridge in the Jizera Mountains above Hrabětice. The tower is 11 metres tall and 56 steps lead to the viewing platform. It offers views of the Jizera Mountains, Jablonec nad Nisou, Ještěd, Liberec, the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) and the Bohemian Paradise.
