The steel headframe of the former Řimbaba mine has served as a lookout tower since 2013. It stands in the mine complex in Vysoká Pec, a part of the village of Bohutín in the Příbram area, where the Spolek Řimbaba association runs the Museum of the Bohutín Microregion. Besides the tower, there is a miner's flat, an exhibition of nativity scenes, an outdoor display of mining and agricultural machinery, a replica of a medieval mine with a charcoal kiln, and the Řimbaba adit. The viewing platform offers views of the ridges of the Brdy Hills and Svatá Hora above Příbram.
Why visit this place?
The mine worked from 1843 to 1900 and was originally called the Mine of God's Blessing, in German Segen Gottes Schacht.
The shaft reached a depth of 270 metres and miners drove almost 6000 metres of galleries; from 1954 to 1969 it served as a training mine.
The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.

The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
