A metal lookout tower with wooden elements on an artificial mound near the abandoned village of Milovany on the edge of the Libavá military area, approx. 1.5 km north-west of Potštát. It was built largely by volunteer labour by the town of Potštát and has been freely accessible since the end of October 2025. Due to mature trees, the viewing platform at a height of approx. 7 m offers a semicircular view of the Hostýn Hills, the Oder Hills and the Moravian-Silesian Beskids.

Why visit this place?

• The metal lookout tower with wooden elements, near the vanished village of Milovany on the edge of the Libavá military area, was built largely by self-help work, and the costs were kept below CZK 500,000.
• The viewing platform stands at a height of approx. 7 metres; since the end of October 2025 a repaired asphalt road has led to the tower from the Potštát cemetery (approx. 1.5 km), and parking is available near the tower.
• Admission is free, which helps when the class budget is tight.
• Allow roughly half an hour; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
