The lookout tower stands on Klínovec (1,244 m a.s.l.), the highest peak of the Ore Mountains and all of Bohemia. The octagonal masonry tower from 1884 is 14 m tall and accessible via 75 steps. On a clear day the view extends into Saxony and as far as the Šumava.

Why visit this place?

• The lookout tower and the hotel on the summit are the oldest and highest-lying buildings in the Ore Mountains.
• The stone tower was built by the Ore Mountain club from Jáchymov and opened as the Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Turm. An earlier lookout tower from 1817 burned down in 1868.
