Radniční věž Znojmo

Location: Obroková 12, 669 02 Znojmo · South Moravia

Category: historic viewing tower

This Gothic tower from the mid-15th century is the symbol of Znojmo; the masonry section was built in 1447–1449 by the builder Mikuláš of Sedlešovice and the tower stands over 66 metres tall. After four years of renovation it reopened to the public on 2 April 2026, with a new exhibition on the history and restoration of the tower featuring authentic fragments — tower finials, historical banners and parts of the roof truss beams. From the gallery at a height of 32 metres there are views of the historic centre of Znojmo, the surrounding countryside, the Pálava Hills and, in good visibility, even the peaks of the Austrian Alps. In 2024 the tower, together with the town hall buildings, was declared a national cultural monument.
