A mini tour at the producer of the original Hořice rolled wafers (Pravé hořické trubičky) in Miletín. The production area itself is off limits for hygiene reasons – the handmade production demonstration takes place in the company shop, where visitors roll ten wafer tubes themselves and receive them gift-wrapped. The tour takes about 30 minutes, up to an hour with the rolling, and must be booked in advance. The full product range can be purchased on site.

Why visit this place?

• The company was founded in 1999, when it bought out a traditional maker of the wafer rolls, and later won the EU protected geographical indication.
• On the tour visitors can roll ten wafer rolls with their own hands and have them gift-wrapped to take home.
• Allow roughly 45 minutes; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.
• There are 72 more tips within 25 km, enough to build a full-day trip.
• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
• There is a dedicated programme for school groups, not just general admission.
