The permanent exhibition Fish and Fishing at the Prácheň Museum in Písek is a unique display of living creatures in a museum setting. Around ten aquariums with a combined volume of thousands of litres house 16–20 species of fish from Czech rivers and ponds, including catfish, carp, pike, and others. The exhibition is complemented by historical fishing equipment and examples of river pearls of local origin.
