A forest park above Slavičín with nature trails and wooden sculptures. Its restoration was launched by the Jan Pivečka Foundation, and since 1997 the town of Slavičín has been the main investor. Marked circuits with information panels about the local wildlife lead through the grounds, along with sculptures from art symposia placed throughout. For school groups, a visit can be combined with the foundation's programme.
Why visit this place?
The park was founded in 1940 by the Pivečka family in memory of Josefu Pivečkovou, wife of the factory owner Jana Klimenta Pivečky.
Since 1997 wooden animal replicas have appeared there, among them a pack of seven wolves, made by students of the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague.
The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
Allow roughly two hours; the programme is aimed at preschoolers, lower primary and upper primary.
