Category: industrial heritage site, steam engine

A rescued steam-powered brewery in the Kokořín region, first mentioned in writing on 7 April 1586 and rebuilt into an industrial plant in the 1890s. Since April 2026 a separate exhibition of steam technology has been open in the brewery courtyard, featuring a heritage-listed steam engine made by Bolzano, Tedesco & Co. in 1895; the engine was found in an abandoned mill in Mutějovice in the Rakovník area. The collection also includes a steam boiler from 1915 made by the Bohemian-Moravian Machine Works in Prague. A longer guided tour with the architect and the brewery owner leads through the Renaissance core, the old brewhouse, the brewmaster's office, an exhibition on the brewery's history and the cellars.
