A zoo in the centre of Vlašim attached to a rescue station for wild animals. It is home to disabled animals that can no longer return to the wild after an encounter with humans — for example the European otter, red fox or common raven. The grounds are located in the garden of the Podblanické ekocentrum ČSOP Vlašim opposite the Vlašimská brána and the chateau, and are complemented by play features, puzzles, quizzes and a nature-themed sandpit. ParaZOO offers guided tours and educational programmes for schools.

ParaZOO opened to the public on 2 June 2012 in the garden of the Podblanické ekocentrum run by ČSOP Vlašim.
About forty permanently handicapped animals have found refuge here and reach a high age thanks to their keepers.
The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
Allow roughly two hours; the programme is aimed at every age group from preschool to secondary school.

There is a dedicated programme for school groups, not just general admission.
