Tropical butterfly house in the centre of Ostrava near Masaryk Square, where thousands of exotic butterflies from around the world fly freely across an area of about 200 m². Visitors walk among the living butterflies in a setting styled as a castaway island and can observe them up close. It is one of the largest permanent exhibitions of its kind in the Czech Republic.

The butterfly house lets school groups observe the life cycle of tropical butterflies from chrysalis to adult directly in a living exhibition. Pupils learn about butterfly biology, tropical plants and the importance of insects for the ecosystem.
