A national cultural monument commemorating the fate of prisoners of the Nazi concentration camp and ghetto in Terezín. The Small Fortress served from 1940–1945 as a prison of the Prague Gestapo; the Ghetto Museum documents the daily life of tens of thousands of Jewish prisoners. Educational programmes for schools are approved by the Ministry of Education and targeted at upper primary and secondary school pupils. A ticket is valid for 4 days and covers all sites within the complex.
