The National Memorial of World War II in Hrabyně near Opava commemorates the battles for the Ostrava region in 1945. Administered by the Silesian Provincial Museum, the permanent exhibition covers the operations of the Red Army and the fate of the civilian population. The complex includes a viewing platform and outdoor military equipment exhibits. The site was temporarily closed in 2025–2026 for reconstruction of the observation tower.

Near the memorial lies a symbolic cemetery bearing the names of 13,000 fallen Soviet and Czechoslovak soldiers and murdered civilians of northern Moravia and Silesia.
The main building holds bowls of soil from important battlefields, such as sand from Tobruk or from the Auschwitz camp. Since 2000 it has been the central Second World War memorial in the country.
The memorial stands in Hrabyně on the site of the heaviest fighting of the Ostrava-Opava operation; it opened in 1980 as the Ostrava Operation Memorial.
Nearby lies a symbolic cemetery with the names of 13,000 fallen soldiers, and a 2023 refit added a mock-up of a T-34 tank to the display.
