The most extensive wine exhibition in the Czech Republic is housed in Mikulov Castle and comprises three sections: the Castle Cellar with a monumental historic barrel from 1643 (capacity 1,014 hectolitres — one of the largest in Europe), the Traditional Winemaking in Moravia exhibition, and a gallery of historic screw presses. The tour engagingly introduces children to the history of winemaking in the region.
