The Mnichovo Hradiště Town Museum is located on the second floor of the state chateau. Its history dates back to the 1890s. The permanent exhibitions include archaeology, a historical pharmacy, a model of Drábské světničky, an ethnographic exhibition, an ornithological collection, a picture gallery and the Ženíšek Salon with vedute of the town from the early 20th century. For schools, the museum offers both winter and summer programmes and a selection of topics for lower secondary pupils. To enter, ring the bell to the right of the chateau's main entrance.
