A small community-run museum in the Old Town Hall building in Cvikov (a stone building from 1822), operated since November 2025 by the volunteer association Spolek přátel Staré radnice (Friends of the Old Town Hall). The exhibition shows a period-furnished manorial office from the first half of the 19th century, a collection of postcards and photographs of Cvikov, and a historic cellar with the remains of the former prison. The main attraction is the Bat World exhibition with a live camera feed from the attic summer colony of greater mouse-eared bats.

Why visit this place?

• Since 2018, the attic of the Stará radnice (Old Town Hall) has housed a summer colony of 500–700 female greater mouse-eared bats, a critically endangered species, which visitors can watch live via a camera system in the Netopýří svět (Bat World) exhibition.
• The stone building of the Stará radnice dates from 1822 and its cellars preserve the remains of a former prison, newly opened to visitors together with the museum on 22 November 2025.
• The exhibition is interactive — it expects you to touch the exhibits and try them out.
• Allow roughly 45 minutes; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
• There are 38 more tips within 25 km, enough to build a full-day trip.
• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
