The Regional Museum of the Podkrkonoší area is housed in the building of the former Trutnov chateau. It documents the history, nature and culture of the region; its collections include archaeology, ethnography, cultural history, militaria and fine art. The permanent exhibitions are complemented by seasonal displays, and the museum prepares educational programmes for schools. Open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday.
