A museum exhibition in the historic house of the Sucharda family of sculptors and woodcarvers in Nová Paka. It commemorates the Nová Paka tradition of nativity scene making and woodcarving, along with the notable figures of the Sucharda family. A good addition to a visit to Nová Paka (treasury, paleopark).

Why visit this place?

• Members of the Sucharda family worked on the richly decorated sgraffito façade; the sgraffito of St Boetheus follows a design by Mikoláš Aleš.
• The eastern half of the house was built in 1895 and the western half in 1896, so that the wedding of Anna Suchardová and Alois Bouda could be held there.
• Allow roughly an hour; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
• There are 57 more tips within 25 km, enough to build a full-day trip.
• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
• There is a dedicated programme for school groups, not just general admission.
