The museum commemorates the largest air battle of World War II over Czech territory, which took place on 11 September 1944. The exhibition consists of wrecks of shot-down aircraft, pilots' gear and uniforms, aircraft models, dioramas, and dozens of historical photographs. The museum was ceremonially opened by American and German veterans in 1997.
