Location: Bujanov 31, 382 41 Bujanov · South Bohemia

Category: railway museum

The Horse-Drawn Railway Museum is housed in a former guard house in Bujanov. The line ran from České Budějovice to Linz in Austria, measured 128.7 km and ranks among the oldest railways on the European continent; the preserved remains of the Czech section have been a national cultural monument since 1970. The exhibition documents the operation of the horse-drawn railway, and visitors can see a relief model of the local station as well as a model of the Hannibal passenger carriage, the original of which is held by the railway museum in Vienna. In front of the museum there is a reconstruction of period tracks. The museum is managed by the municipality of Bujanov.
