The museum in the Hlučín chateau charts the turbulent fortunes of the Hlučín region and its inhabitants. This region on the boundary of cultures, nations and state borders is presented by the permanent exhibition "Who Are the People of the Hlučín Region", opened in 2014 in the chateau's service wing: it tells history through the lives of people whose nationality changed several times over the centuries. The museum also offers virtual reality that transports visitors to Hlučín in the first half of the 20th century, plus interactive programmes for children and school groups.
