A permanent exhibition on the founding of Havířov and mining in the Ostrava-Karviná coal basin. It opened in 2013 in the Reneta community house and has occupied the former Těšín Museum premises on Pavlovova street since May 2021. Mining lamps, measuring instruments, rock samples and rescue gear are on show, and visitors can lift a jackhammer or pose in a miner’s uniform. Havířov Municipal Library runs it, admission is free and it organises tours for nursery, primary and secondary schools.
