Weisův dům – Blatské muzeum Veselí nad Lužnicí

A museum exhibition in the late Renaissance Weis House dating from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. The house was built for Martin Lomnický ze Šebínů, the mayor of Veselí, and since 1950 it has housed a museum named after Karel Weis, the composer and collector of folk songs. Following renovation in 2020–2021, it features the permanent exhibitions Life in the Town, Karel Weis and the Blata Region, and the Model Railway Layout of the Veselí nad Lužnicí Railway Junction; a funerary section titled On the Last Journey has been added in the glazed garden pavilion. The building is wheelchair accessible and is operated by the Blata Museum, a branch of the Hussite Museum in Tábor.
