The Hunting and Forestry Museum at Úsov Chateau, housed in the Baroque Martinelli Palace. The collection of trophies and taxidermy animals from Bohemia, Poland, Italy, India and Africa was founded by the Liechtensteins, who organised more than 50 hunting expeditions around the turn of the 20th century; the museum was established by John II of Liechtenstein in 1898. Some exhibits are more than 100 years old. The original Gothic castle from the first half of the 13th century is among the oldest in Moravia, and from 1852 to 1867 it housed the first forestry school in Moravia. • The collections hold over 4000 natural history items, including some 700 horns and antlers lining the walls and the chateau staircase.

• The whole programme is indoors, so rain is not a problem.
