The museum, housed in the historic building of a former agricultural school, preserves the legacy of the world-famous coachbuilding company J. Sodomka, which produced luxury car bodies from 1895. The star of the collection is a 1940 Aero 50 Dynamik convertible alongside dozens of other unique vehicles. The new Regional Technical Museum reopened in 2026 with modernised exhibitions. A fascinating showcase of industrial heritage for children.

The firm began in 1895 as Josef Sodomka's first East Bohemian carriage works; its first car body to its own design came only in 1925, on a Praga Mignon chassis.
The coachbuilder bodied cars for Jan Werich and for the wife of President Edvard Benes, and in 1948 it was nationalised as the Karosa works.
The town museum was founded in 1871 and, according to its own history, is the oldest institution of its kind in Bohemia; since 1914 it has been in the Šembera family house.
Allow roughly an hour and a half; the programme is aimed at lower primary, upper primary and secondary students.
