Katedrála Nanebevzetí Panny Marie a sv. Jana Křtitele – Sedlec

Location: U Zastávky 280, 284 03 Kutná Hora · Central Bohemia

Category: Gothic cathedral (UNESCO)

A UNESCO monument and a key work of the "Baroque Gothic" style by architect Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. Originally a Cistercian monastery church from the turn of the 14th century, it was burned by the Hussites and brilliantly restored by Santini in the 18th century in a style blending Gothic lines with Baroque decoration. This unique symbiosis draws even more visitors than the nearby Cathedral of St Barbara.
