Beneath the Jesuit Church of the Immaculate Conception in Klatovy lie baroque catacombs housing over 30 mummified bodies of Jesuit monks, nobility, and townspeople from the years 1676–1783. A unique system of ventilation channels naturally preserved the bodies to this day. The tour includes a multimedia exhibition on the history of Jesuit Klatovy and the baroque grammar school.

Between 1676 and 1783 more than 200 dead were laid to rest here; the last burial, in 1783, was Antonín Weichs.
When workmen blocked the ventilation shafts in the 1930s, most of the mummies crumbled; 140 destroyed bodies were buried in a mass grave in 1937.
