Kališovo jezero, known locally as Kališok, is a former gravel pit on the northern edge of Bohumín near the Polish border, today a popular natural swimming spot covering more than 50 hectares. On the northern shore there is a maintained beach with three piers, a children's playground, a beach volleyball court, refreshments and sanitary facilities including a wheelchair-accessible platform; admission is free. Swimming is unsupervised and at your own risk; water quality is regularly monitored by the regional public health authority.
