The iconic symbol of Liberec and the entire Liberec Region – a hyperboloid-shaped transmitter and hotel on the summit of Mount Ještěd (1,012 m a.s.l.). An architectural icon awarded the Perret Prize, designed by Karel Hubáček in the 1960s. On clear days the terrace viewpoint offers sweeping views over the Jizerské hory and Krkonoše mountains. Accessible by the Skalka chairlift and a hiking trail.

The building is a hyperboloid of revolution that continues the mountain's silhouette. Its architect Karel Hubáček won the International Union of Architects' Auguste Perret Prize for it in 1969 — the only Czech ever to do so.
The transmitter and hotel stand almost 100 metres tall on a circular plan 33 metres across, and opened on 9 July 1973.
