The Třebíč Observatory has been in operation since 1957. In 2023 it gained a new extension with a modern planetarium. It offers planetarium shows, lectures and evening sky observations for the public on Fridays and Saturdays. Schools are provided with an extensive range of educational programmes from nursery to secondary school level, with two teachers admitted free of charge. The operator is DDM Třebíč.
