The astronomical observatory of the Czech Academy of Sciences has stood on the Manda hill above Ondřejov for over 100 years and ranks among the most important scientific institutions of its kind in Europe. The extensive grounds with historic domes and a park offer guided tours for schools and the public. Students learn about the history of the observatory, the instrument exhibition, and the largest telescope in the Czech Republic (2 m mirror).
